Even at the end of the world there will be clubbers. [Right, But’Club] is txtrs.’s second compilation album dedicated to the clubbers that even mankind’s collapse cannot stop.

Inspired by ‘Forever 27 Club’ a phrase used to describe a group of artists who passed before their time, ‘Right, But’Club’ describes the lives of millennials who struggle to prosper despite having done everything ‘right’. Our second EP is an interpretation of these dystopian and despondent ideals and realities.

To make [Right, But’Club] a physical reality, @textures.seoul collaborated with rave culture inspired streetwear brand @gpd_gearpurposedefined to form a team of millennial artists and designers. Together, we created a line of merchandise fit for any festival, rave, or streetwear, released before the ‘end of humanity’ as some doomsdayers would like to think.

Spinoza said that he would plant an apple today even if the world is to collapse tomorrow. In that spirit, despite facing the odds of imminent global destruction we’ll be at the clubs lending our bodies to music. Let the tracks of our new compilation speak for itself and imagine yourself dancing like there is no tomorrow.

인류가 멸망한대도 클럽에 가야한다는 사람들을 위해 textures. 가 준비한 지침서 [Right, But’Club]

스물일곱살에 세상을 떠난 아티스트들의 모임 ‘Forever 27 Club’과 같이 ‘Right, But’Club’ 은 2000년대 당시 옳은 일을 했지만 안타깝게 망한 사람들을 지칭하는 모임의 이름이다. 한국의 하우스/테크노 장르를 이끌어 가고 있는 @textures.seoul 의 멤버들은 이 디스토피아적인 주제에 영감을 받아 곧바로 두번째 컴필레이션 제작에 들어갔다.

앨범을 제목 그대로 중의적인 의미가 담긴 이번 앨범은 음악 이 외에도 클럽과 페스티벌 문화에 영향을 받아 탄생한 패션 브랜드 @gpd_gearpurposedefined 와의 협업으로 그 어떤 클럽과 페스티벌에서도 간편하게 입고 춤을 출 수 있는 콜라보레이션 의류 또한 릴리즈 한다.

textures. 와 GPD, 음악과 패션, 각자 다른 분야에서 90년대생들을 대표하며 활동하는 이 젊은 아티스트들의 협업은 과거 인류가 예측했던 인류 멸망의 시기인 2020년이 되기 전, 가장 주목해야할 협업임에 분명하다.

스피노자는 내일 지구가 멸망하더라도 오늘 한 그루의 사과나무를 심겠다고 했다. 마찬가지로, 내일 지구가 멸망하더라도 우리는 오늘 클럽에 가서 음악에 몸을 맡길 것이다. 지난 컴필보다 더 뚜렷해진 이번 앨범의 언더그라운드 댄스 트랙들을 들으며 내일이 없는것 처럼 춤을 추는 우리의 모습을 상상해보자.
